I always hated using paper towels or wax paper to cover bowls and/or plates in the microwave to keep our microwave from getting splattered (because I hate cleaning it). I know I used them to keep the microwave clean but I felt like I was being a waster by using them and using aluminum foil to cover leftovers. My Nana has a slew of the Saran Quick Covers (no longer made) and they were made in China. No offense to China but if I can find USA made products I buy them above others. Oh and another thing the Quick Covers are not microwave safe.
In comes CoverMate Food Covers. They are similar in idea to the Quick Covers but better (in my opinion). The CoverMate Covers are USA made (yay!). They are made with FDA compliant materials, are BPA, PVC and latex free. They are reusable, microwavable and dishwasher safe. How are they dishwasher safe? Just turn it inside out and fit it around a suitable sized clean plate or dish and place in washer for your normal wash cycle. Now I don’t have an electronic dishwasher (I am the dish washer) so I just turn it inside out and wash so it’s safe for me to wash too 
You can use them on most any shaped plate or dish. Round or square (thanks to the little corners added in).
I was sent a 10 ct. variety pack for review. It comes with 4 medium covers, 4 large covers, 2 extra large covers and a free bonus can size cover. I used the covers in the microwave, in the freezer, outside and in the fridge. Every once in a while I allow Little B to have soda. Friday it was warm and we were outside playing on the swing-set. He wanted to have his drink out there with him because “it was just so hot”. We have gnats out the wazoo in our yard for whatever reason? I was afraid that bugs would get in his soda while he was playing so I slipped the can size cover over his soda and voila no bugs drowned in soda to drink, blech! I also use the cover for more than just food. It works great to keep the Moon Sand off my floor when its left sitting in the floor for Baby B to go running by and knocking it over.
I couldn’t come up with any negative things to say about the CoverMate Covers. They are environment friendly, mommy friendly and purse friendly so that’s a great product to me.
